I've been in the business of building software technology for longer than the average age of most of our employees! OK, that's a slight exaggeration but I did start back in 1987 when I was named the Assistant Director of Technology for the R&D arm of the National Computer Board in Singapore. I also worked for IBM's application development labs in Bethesda where "OfficeVision" and OS/2 where developed. Basically, I've seen a lot of trends in technology so I have a keen eye for what works.
I took part in the "Dotcom boom" but from Asia. I was part of a team that conceptualized, developed and operated the award-winning Financial Interactive Services Hub (FISH). FISH was the first Asian financial web portal. Another venture I was part of was called SNT Global Solutions, Asia's leading e-logistics business process and IT outsourcing company. At SNT I lead the technology vision for company's e-logistics platform called Hosted eLogistics Platform or HeLP™. We were lucky enough to win several awards including best business application and best Internet application in Asia.
I did my PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Wales in the UK, which means I can understand our CEO PJ when he talks to me! Actually it's pretty cool working with him because he enables me to really drive an innovative technology shop. At Entellium we value creativity and design being applied to the customer experience. We believe that there are some very compelling technology gaps for us to fill and I have the latitude and resources to really deliver. We joke that our competitors build and sell feature sets whereas we are designing customer experiences. It's sounds great from a marketing perspective, but I take this seriously and want the company to be known for our success in changing the game when it comes to usability and the customer experience. Looking back from 1987 to the present I've never been so excited to work for a such a progressive thinking company; I hope this shows in our passion for the customer and the products we build for you.
