How can I be sure my data is secure?
Entellium is one of thousands of businesses who connect, communicate, and transact with the confidence assured by VeriSign's security authorization.

Additionally we offer our customers a secure socket layer (SSL) connection to provide with the highest levels of security. The URLs used to access your data are all preceded with https instead of http, which also indicates that a secure connection is being maintained for data access from Entellium applications.

How can I be assured my data will be kept private?

Will Entellium ever view or use my data?
No. As stated in Entellium's privacy policy: "Your right to privacy is very important. Entellium has developed a policy to address privacy concerns. Entellium is very concerned about the security of personal information we have collected from you and has taken every reasonable step to prevent unauthorized access to that information."

We will never allow anyone else to ever view or have access to your information under any circumstances, guaranteed. Our data center partners are world leaders who have taken measures to ensure the highest level of security for your information.

What happens when the Entellium-powered database goes down?
Entellium and our data center partners have built world-class redundancy into all our systems to minimize failures. Through our data center partners, our customers are protected by experts who understand the architecture, installation, and design and are immediately available to resolve any issues that arise.

During the U.S. blackouts in 2003, our applications maintained a 100% uptime record throughout. Generally, our levels of uptime are among the highest in the world achieving a 99.9% uptime record from 2001-2005.

All components of the Entellium-powered system are monitored and managed 24x7 to ensure any faults are spotted before they impact a customer.

Can I house a back-up of my data on my company server?
You can receive a complete download of all your company data upon request. Please contact your account manager for more information.

How scalable are Entellium's applications?
Entellium's applications have the capacity to scale to an enterprise of any size. The architecture behind Entellium's solution is designed to handle thousands of users for any one customer account.

Security Features FAQ

What is the Secure Socket Layer?
The Secure Socket Layer (SSL) is an industry standard protocol used for communication between your web browser and web servers. It provides authentication, data integrity and encryption.

What type of security validation is available?
The Entellium website uses VeriSign, the strongest security available. You can validate computer server IDs and status at any time by clicking on the VeriSign logo.

How is an account authenticated?
Authentication confirms that you are who you say you are, and verifies that you are communicating with the entellium-powered solutions hosted on our web servers. There are two parts to the authentication process:

1. The SSL uses digital certificates to confirm with your web browser that you are accessing our web server.
2. Your user ID and password is confirmed to ensure account information is provided only to the correct User ID and corresponding password. An incorrect User ID or password will result in failure to access account information.

Will it be possible for interceptors to read and understand my messages?
The SSL encrypts or "scrambles" the content of your message as it travels across the Internet, making it difficult for unauthorized interceptors to understand. Encryption codes the information in your message, ensuring that it can only be decoded by Entellium's servers.

What is a firewall and what is its purpose?
A firewall is a device, usually consisting of software and hardware that separates computers with sensitive information on an internal network from external networks like the Internet. Its purpose is to limit the types of traffic that enter the internal network to prevent malicious attacks on internal computers. By using a firewall, Entellium ensures your information is always protected.

What can I do to keep my information secure?
Other people who access your computer can access the disk cache and may be able to view the contents of your previous web activity. You can set your disk cache to 0 to ensure nothing is stored on your hard disk. You won't be able to access previously viewed pages as quickly, but your security will be enhanced.

Can you transfer data from Salesforce.com, Siebel and others?
Yes. Entellium or an authorized partner oversees the process, and we guarantee speed and simplicity throughout the migration. We gather information from your prior provider into a spreadsheet, and then import the data into the Entellium application.

What about customization capabilities?
Entellium's customization capability brings a competitive advantage to your business that includes (but is not limited to): custom screen layouts, custom field additions, configuring business rules to improve productivity and integrating with existing systems by using global standards such as Microsoft.NET web services.

How does Entellium handle offline and mobile access when I am on the road?
Entellium provides an industry first for offline access - full voice telephony integration from any phone. By using your voice and a phone line, your team can retrieve and update customer information. In addition, Entellium integrates with Microsoft Outlook and uses Microsoft Excel for offline reporting.

Is my data secured with online access?
Entellium provides state-of-the-art security to ensure that your customer data is never compromised. Since our corporate launched in 2000, we haven't experienced a single security flaw or virus disruption.

Can Entellium integrate with other systems?
Yes, in the vast majority of cases. Existing Entellium customers have successfully integrated with complex platforms including Oracle and IBM's AS/400 platform. Our extensive use of open, standards-based web services makes integration straightforward and a fraction of the cost of traditional CRM vendors.

We have enterprise needs – can you handle this?

How long does it take to implement Entellium?
Anywhere from 3 hours to 3 to 4 weeks depending on the complexity of your business. A basic eSalesForce setup takes as little as three hours. If comprehensive back-end integration is required, Entellium can perform this task in a matter of weeks.

How much training do we need?
Experienced sales people that understand the sales processes of their organizations will be proficient in eSalesForce with 3-4 hours of use. For those sales teams without a documented methodology, two training days are usually necessary.
